The staff were so personable and attentive, and went above and beyond to help me. I loved the garden, with cats wandering around, and the place had a really good energy. It’s a beautiful spot, within walking distance of everything in Cusco.

The street outside Casona de Recoleta has a very narrow pedestrian sidewalk, and the apartment was a little chilly in the evenings. The bedding was warm enough for me to sleep comfortably, though. I spent three nights there and really enjoyed the apartment. The staff helped with my luggage, and I loved having breakfast items and fresh fruit supplied each day. It may be one of the best properties you can find in Cusco.

The fireplace was a lovely extra, and they put fresh food out for breakfast every morning. It’s well located too, close to lots of things. I had a really good stay here!

Getting around was easy from here, with everything we wanted to experience in Cusco about 5-10 minutes away and no climbing needed. It was quiet too, with hardly any street noise. Some reviews mention the narrow alley, but that’s normal here, and Uber drivers and tour vans still pick you up and drop you right at the door. We stayed one night, left our luggage while we went to Machu Picchu, and found it had already been taken to our room when we returned. The staff were super nice, the garden was beautifully kept, and the rooms were spacious, cozy, spotless, and full of local decorations. Heaters were provided, the kitchen had everything we needed, and they left fruit and breakfast ingredients each day. There’s a grocery store five minutes away. All in all, a great boutique hotel with lots of cool touches and great service. Highly recommended!
