The historic center location is great, the place has basic amenities, and customer service is good, except with the late-night staff, who don't really speak English. As visitors to South America, you'd expect to know at least some Spanish. There were several problems: the bathrooms smelled like sewage and the water drained poorly. The shower's hot water was unreliable and shut off in the middle of my shower. Wifi was also patchy, with barely enough coverage for texting, at least from the rooms.

The rooms and facilities are decent, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the wifi worked for my work video calls. Breakfast is an American-style buffet. I'd rate it at least 3.5 if I could, but since that's not an option, I can't quite give it a 4. I'd stay again if I could pick a specific room. Read the reviews about hallway and street noise: unless you're on the third floor and not facing the road, you'll hear the heavy wooden doors opening and closing at all hours. Tours can leave at 3 or 3:30am, and people come back from nightlife at any time.

The staff are really nice and helpful, and the rooms are fine. The nightly price was really good, around 30usd, and in general it was a good stay. But I couldn't sleep because I could hear everything, including other people's alarms at 2am. Some rude guests came in at 1am shouting to each other and turning on their loud TV. The wifi was so slow, when it worked at all, that no websites would open, so we had to use our laptops at a coffee shop. I really need sleep and wifi, so personally I wouldn't stay here again.

The staff took great care of us and were really attentive. It’s a cozy little inn, and breakfast was simple but delicious. I’d happily come back.
