Hotel De La Villa Hermoza

Our stay had several serious problems. Half our group had no hot water, some of us smelled natural gas in our rooms throughout the stay, and another guest’s room wouldn’t lock. Google may list this as a 3 star hotel, but it felt more like 2 star. Pay the extra 60 bucks and stay at the four star hotel next door.

For a one night stay, this worked out well, and breakfast was included. There’s a useful luggage storage service, a working elevator, and the upper floors are wheelchair accessible. The clean room was a little cold, but the blankets kept me warm. The shower took a while to heat up and didn’t work at first, but staff came quickly when we called and soon there was hot water. The showerhead’s limescale sent the different streams in all directions and made a mess. Still, I’d recommend it.

The staff were very good, and the hotel had a good location. Breakfast was good too, as were the TV and the comfortable bed and pillows.

The rooms were very comfortable, and there was Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, plus computers downstairs for guests to use. It compares with an average European hotel. The service was excellent: once I arrived at the cafeteria a little late and took the last piece of a special sweet bread. They said there wasn’t any more, then came back a few moments later with a couple they’d gone out and bought for me.
