El Truco Boutique Hotel

The rooms are cozy, the service is good, and the staff are friendly. The location is great too, close to Cusco Main Square, restaurants, and shops.

We stayed five nights at this decent B&B in the heart of Cusco. The rooms were comfortable and the staff very helpful. Breakfast was decent, though there wasn’t much variety or quantity if you came toward the end of breakfast. Some parts of the hotel also felt a little rough around the edges and could use upkeep. 7.5/10.

Our room next to the register was dirty and moldy, and the door didn’t lock. One window faced the courtyard, which is shared with restaurants. People were talking and laughing there past midnight.

We spent a week here, and it’s one of my favorite hotels in Cusco. The rooms are lovely, with bathtubs and dependable hot water, which is rare around here. The staff are incredible, I love them all. There’s a well-known restaurant in the hotel that’s a little pricey. The chef is famous, though, so it might be worth a look. Breakfast is free and good, and tea is available all day. Try for a second-floor room, since the ground floor can be noisy.
