Hatun Wasi Hotel

The location is excellent, right next to Plaza de las Armas, which is the Plaza Mayor, only about a one-minute walk away. The staff were also super nice, welcoming, and ready to help. The rest of our three-night stay was rough. There was no heating unless we asked for a heater, WiFi barely worked and maybe connected once every few hours, and breakfast was tasteless with limited choices. The cheese tasted like rubber. The shower heads had MOLD on them. The showers took ages to warm up, then got scalding. Windows looking into the bathrooms meant people could literally stare at you from outside. We could hear all the outside noise in the bedrooms, and the rooms had no windows or natural light. Our towels had holes in them.

They kept our luggage while we went on a four-day hike. The location is central, and they provide space heaters if you ask. Water pressure was poor.

Fredy at reception was really friendly. Thank you for the hospitality. The hotel is right in the heart of Cusco.

The beds look like they’re meant for short people, and you have to keep asking for basics like towels and toilet paper. The cold is awful, and the heating they provide isn’t good enough. We were also left outside in the early morning for over an hour before anyone let us in. The facilities aren’t properly cleaned. Terrible hotel, I don’t recommend it.
