I arrived without a reservation and only needed a night before an early flight. Luckily there was a room free. Everything had clearly been thought through down to the details, and the house felt like a very luxurious hotel with a personal touch. Thank you for the warm welcome, sir. I was choosing between this and a much cheaper place, and I’m so glad I spent a little more. It was worth it, and I’d absolutely stay again if I’m in Iquitos. It’s a 10-minute walk from the airport, a 10-minute Tukutuk ride to the mall for food, and 15 minutes by Tuktuk to Plaza Mayor Iquitos.

Harold was amazing when we left some things behind. He mailed them to our new location. The property is clean and well maintained, with a lovely pool and garden. It’s very close to the airport, and a mototaxi gets you into town in about 15 minutes. A perfect stay before or after the Amazon.

This was the best place we stayed during our month in Peru. The owner is incredibly kind. He doesn’t speak English, and our Spanish isn’t very good yet, but he did his best to explain things with gestures. The accommodation is beautiful, comfortable, and spotless, with spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. Our bathroom was in the hallway, but there were no other guests, so that was fine. The water wasn’t very hot, as we already knew, and it didn’t bother us in Iquitos’ hot, humid weather. We also had a large kitchen, filtered cold drinking water all day, and crackers with toppings for mornings when we were hungry and hadn’t shopped. It’s a little outside the center, but a tuctu gets you to town, a big supermarket, or a shopping center quickly. The ride itself is fun. Being so close to the airport worked well for us since we were there for a jungle tour and didn’t feel a need to explore Iquitos. The garden is cozy, and the pool is wonderful. We spent a whole quiet day by it as the only guests. We don’t usually lounge around a pool all day, but we liked the place so much we didn’t want to leave. The owner goes out of his way to help. He arranged a tuctu to the shopping center so we could buy things and get cash from an ATM. He also had nearby restaurant recommendations and a guidebook for ordering food. After our jungle tour, we had hours to fill before our flight, with little to do at the airport, so we asked if we could use the accommodation during the day. That was no problem. For a small fee, we could use the pool and shower, and rest in another room that was actually even nicer and larger. It was wonderful to board the plane clean and rested. Definitely recommended for a jungle tour. It was raining heavily when we left, so we didn’t want to walk to the airport, and the owner arranged an affordable taxi for us. A wonderful end to our Peru trip. This place alone would make us want to return to Iquitos.
