The first time I stayed, before a booked Amazon trip, was fine but nothing special. The return visit was a different story. There were three of us, a married couple and a friend, and we booked a two-bedroom apartment but were given a one-bedroom with two beds. They eventually sorted it out by giving us another room, but that one had no kitchen. In the morning I was denied the breakfast that was advertised as included. I was in the same room as on my last visit, but they said breakfast wasn’t part of it this time. Great! The front desk lady also accused us of taking mini bar items without paying on the previous visit, which was completely untrue. At 3pm the day before leaving, I dropped off laundry and said I needed it by 10am the next day for my flight. They assured me that was fine. I didn’t get a bag until 10:45am, and it had a mix of my clothes and someone else’s, with some of mine missing. I was already running very late, so I returned the clothes that weren’t mine and left without the rest of my things. It’s fine if all you need is a basic room, but don’t let them do your laundry!

Don’t be misled by the name, it’s the building address. The front desk staff are mostly bilingual and the service was excellent. The room was a fantastic deal, with a mini fridge, cold air conditioning, laundry service, and minibar. Really, really good price for the location and room quality. Highly recommended!

The staff were truly phenomenal. They arranged an early morning taxi to the airport, spoke good English, made us feel welcome, and replied quickly to all my WhatsApp questions about laundry, amenities, and other things. But the building needs work. Sink water pressure was almost nonexistent, and the wifi showed as connected on our phones without actually working. When it did work, it was so slow it wasn’t worth using. Staff tried to help, but there wasn’t anything they could do. They need to upgrade the wifi. The area was relatively quiet at night except for occasional street noise. There’s a party bar next door that can get loud, though they turned the music off around 10pm when we were there. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the main square, food, and shops. The air conditioning was great, but took over an hour to cool the room.

The breakfast was lovely, and everyone we met at check-in and in the dining area was friendly. Our room was cleaned, and the air conditioning worked well, which mattered in all that humidity. This ended up being our favorite place to stay in Peru.

The people here were kind and friendly, though the place itself felt a bit chaotic, much like Iquitos. The room was small and cramped, and its bathroom had a very old-fashioned local gas boiler for the hot water.
