Belma Boutique B&B

Our room was spacious and had the only king size bed I could find in Peru at this price, and it was very comfortable. Breakfast was good each morning, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed for three days just before Christmas and would happily return.

Belma is a small bed and breakfast in a great spot in Miraflores, Lima. The rooms are spacious and have what you need, and the staff who run the place are super. Breakfast is nice, and they also offer laundry service. A winner.

The staff across reception, kitchen, and housekeeping did a great job and were exceptional. The hotel is well kept, and the location is good, though reaching the beach means walking or taking a taxi because of the cliff and the nearby bridge that isn't ready yet. Breakfast was very good, with eggs or French toast made to order, homemade yogurt each day, and a selection of tea leaves. Noise was the main problem. My room, 302, faced a nearby kindergarten, and there was also construction noise. In the morning, people hitting the room doors made a lot of noise. That really needs fixing with bumpers or slam silencers, or at least by telling guests at check-in to be considerate and reminding them to close doors gently during quiet hours at night and early morning. The soundproofing is poor, so this isn't a good place if you need to take online meetings. If you need eight hours of sleep, bring earplugs.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable, though the space was quite small, especially with the bathroom inside the room instead of separate. That wasn't a major issue for me. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel offers good service. It's near the coast and Barranco, and breakfast and coffee were good. They use an espresso machine, which is unusual in Peru. I'd recommend it.
