Fairfield by Marriott Lima Miraflores

Raul did a great job checking me in. I really enjoyed the hotel and the bed was very comfy. For my two nights in Miraflores, the location worked really well. The rooftop bar and brunch were amazing. I was on the third floor and didn’t get a great view, so next time I’d definitely ask for a higher floor.

The hotel itself is excellent, and I’d definitely stay there again. We used it coming into and leaving Lima, Peru, and it made a great jump-off point. The rooftop bar has great views, though it’s pricey. Restaurants are within walking distance, but the main market area takes a walk to reach. It is a long way from the airport.

The staff were really pleasant, and breakfast had a good range of choices. Members get breakfast for free. The hotel is well placed for Lima’s main sights, though getting around Peru can take time and effort. There’s free parking if you’re driving.

The room itself was comfortable, with clean bedding, a good shower, and a nice bed. The staff were generally friendly, too. The food was a letdown. The included pizza was like a cardboard tortilla with bad cheese, and the pisco sours were the worst we tried in Peru. Breakfast was basic, and made-to-order eggs cost extra. There was no lotion or coffee maker in the room, and the ice machines seemed useless unless you went to the restaurant for ice. For this price, I’d choose the Aloft nearby. It’s in a similar area but closer to Miraflores sights, shops, and restaurants. We won’t be back to this Fairfield.
