The location is amazing, and the staff are great. There’s a pool table and ping pong, plus a hot shower and a decent-sized kitchen, though only one burner worked. They sell beer, and you can rent a towel for 6 soles. The old mattresses were a drawback, and one had a stain. Large windows are often left open for fresh air, so it gets noisy. Bring an eye mask and earplugs. Still, you can’t beat the price.

A peaceful park right out front, restaurants all around, and no cars in front of the hostel. There are pedestrian streets everywhere, and it’s hard to imagine a better location anywhere in Lima. The place is in a charming old Spanish-style building, and reception was so friendly. Wonderful.

The location, right by Kennedy Park, is the best part. The room was spacious and had a private bathroom, with hot water in the shower. Breakfast is through coupons for a place across the street, where they offer three different options. There were no windows in the room, and the staff could have been friendlier.

I had a pleasant stay overall. The hostel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Still, I was uneasy about how my nationality was listed on the booking website as “Taiwan, China.” I raised it with the receptionist and politely asked if she could change it or report it. She stayed friendly and smiled, but said they couldn’t change it because my passport says “Republic of China,” so I’m from China. As someone from Taiwan, I felt uncomfortable with that label. I hope the hostel or booking platform will be more respectful and inclusive of how people identify their nationality.
