Hostal Lima Norte

The hostel itself is fine, and you get what you pay for, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. They lock you inside, and when the concierge steps away, there's no way out. You have to knock and wait for the guy to come let you out. When we checked in, we were left waiting at the door for 10 minutes too.

The neighborhood makes this a poor deal, even though the price is low. We had no hot water, only tiny hand towels, and a noisy room. The TV was acting up too, and it took us an hour to get it working. There’s no key for the front door, so you have to wait for someone to let you out. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The rooms are comfortable, and the showers have hot water. They’re on the small side, though. The price feels fair, and booking ahead is possible with several ways to pay. The reception was especially good: one very kind employee showed us the best options for enjoying ourselves without spending much.

You can find everything you need right on the block, and local people are always glad to suggest good places. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the internet worked perfectly. Great location, whether you’re traveling with family or friends. I’d definitely recommend it 😎
