Hotel Continental

The rooms are small and a little shabby, and the bathrooms need renovation. The hotel is old, but the staff are helpful and breakfast is very good. For the Historic Center of Lima, I think it’s the best option, and the location is great.

The staff were courteous and helpful, and breakfast was excellent for a low-budget hotel. My room was quite small, with the bed taking up most of the space. There’s no water provided, so you’ll need to buy it at the grocery store about 2-3 minutes down the street. Tea and coffee seem to be available around the lobby, but you may need to ask for help since it isn’t set up for easy self-service. There’s no iron or ironing board, and no hair dryer. Heating could be an issue if it’s really cold outside. The shuttle costs about the standard rate, but if you use Uber a lot, that’ll be cheaper than booking through the hotel.

Right in Centro Histórico, and a quiet, comfortable place to stay. Very basic, though.

We were just five minutes from the historic centre, and the rooms were comfy and clean. The staff were so friendly and helped with everything we asked, from calling a taxi and holding our luggage while we explored the city to phoning agencies to book our trips for the next few days. Breakfast was amazing too, with fresh fruit and juices, nice bread, and eggs. Really recommend it.
