Hotel El Farolito

The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was large, and the place was clean and fairly quiet. It’s a good hotel in Miraflores, with everything nearby or just a few minutes away on foot. We could have used more power outlets in the room, but managed.

I just visited Lima for the fourth time, and each time I stay at Hotel El Farolito in Miraflores. I love the place and the staff. It’s very clean, conveniently located, and the team is professional, polite, and helpful. Breakfast is simple but great.

We slept brilliantly every night. Our room was inside the building, so even though it had windows on either side, they looked onto other rooms. That made it quiet and dark. The decor looked dark too, but the room was surprisingly one of the comfiest we’ve stayed in. It’s about a five-minute walk to Kennedy Park. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the WiFi was very good, and there’s an elevator and 24-hour reception. We liked it enough to extend our stay.

The room seemed clean, and the staff were friendly. But people in the hallway could see into my room if I was in bed with the curtains open. Several rooms have the same problem, so it seems fairly likely you could get one too. I kept the curtains drawn most of the time. It was also annoying to leave the key at reception every time I went out, and getting into Miraflores meant crossing a very busy road.
