The bathroom smelled bad, and the air conditioning in our room didn't work. We reported it to reception, but the problem continued, and the fix they said would happen the next day never came. It made the stay uncomfortable and disturbed our sleep. We had booked a week ahead and specifically requested the advertised airport pickup. We couldn't get a response from any of the contact numbers, so we had to take a taxi when we arrived. After a long day of travel, getting in around midnight, we were met by a receptionist who seemed unwelcoming and inefficient. Paying took more than 20 minutes because staff were confused about the currency, which suggested they hadn't been trained properly. At checkout, they said they would provide the business-style payment statement we requested. Nine hours later, it still hadn't arrived. The experience wasn't worth what we paid. This felt more like a motel than a hotel.

The staff were nice, but a lot of the basics disappointed me. The beds were really uncomfortable, the breakfast was terrible, and the internet kept cutting in and out. Some rooms don't even have air conditioning, and replacing a lost room key costs $10. This doesn't feel like a four-star hotel.

The atmosphere was great, and the customer service was just as good.

There's an indoor pool, though the water was cold. The hotel is near the main avenue, with lots of restaurants around.
