The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the breakfast brought my rating down. You can pick up to four things, drinks included. If you have juice and tea or coffee, that leaves only two food choices. The options were three tiny pieces of bread with a little butter and jam, a simple but good ham and cheese toast, eggs made how you like them but with no extra bread, or a pretty basic fruit salad. It was the lightest breakfast I’ve had at a proper hotel. The only one worse was at a very cheap hostel. A continental buffet would have earned a better rating.

The staff were excellent, but I regretted switching to this hotel. The construction nearby was constant, with drilling, hanging and noise all day and night, and it made the stay unpleasant. I also didn’t love having to order breakfast the night before, especially since service doesn’t start until 8:00 am, too late if you’re an early riser. The location in Miraflores wasn’t the best either, and I wouldn’t recommend it for that reason.

We only had one night at IFE Boutique in Miraflores, and I wish we’d stayed longer. It’s really cute and clean, with a modern, cool-looking bedroom. After staying in hostels, it was such a treat to have unlimited hot water in the shower and a blow dryer. Breakfast came with the price and there was plenty of it, plus it was delicious. I’d recommend it if you’re passing through Miraflores.

After a hellish delayed flight the night before, the tamal was my first typical Peruvian meal, and I loved it. We were also really happy with the delicious breakfast, the excellent WiFi, and how clean the rooms were. The hotel is close to restaurants and shops, and the staff were lovely. I can’t say enough good things about this place and its team.

We had a king suite with a balcony facing the street. It’s a quiet neighborhood, but still close enough to walk to restaurants or grab a cab. The breakfast was great, and the service was amazing. IFE Boutique is a very nice hotel.
