The old house is lovely and welcoming, and the hotel and neighborhood both felt clean and very safe. We were a group of friends and really enjoyed our stay. Mrs. Carolina and the owner were especially kind and always ready to help, and I loved the breakfast. It's near Larcomar shopping center and the boardwalk, and we felt fine leaving our belongings in the room. I'd gladly come back and highly recommend it.

The location was the one thing going for it. There was no hot water at all, and service was terrible on weekends and in the afternoons. Cold air came through the windows. The room was dusty, the furniture worn and old, and I could feel the mattress springs. It badly needs maintenance.

The afternoon and weekend staff seemed very apathetic. The rooms are cramped, the furniture is old, and the beds creak whenever someone shifts, which gets annoying for anyone sharing the room.

The bathroom was the worst part: it was dirty, and the counter by the sink was chipped. The room also hadn't been cleaned well, the sheets weren't ironed, and one was torn. We stayed on Monday, April 16th. At least the location was good.

The waiting area is pleasant and the location is good, though having to ring the bell every time you come in or go out gets annoying. Breakfast and the rooms are basic.
