We had no complaints. The bed was comfortable, breakfast was enjoyable, and the quiet street was a nice setting. Good location and value for the money.

We told reception about a bad experience at an unrelated hotel before this, and they went out of their way to make us more comfortable. The place was very clean, comfortable, and had a lovely terrace. Major sights and day trips are within walking distance. I'd strongly recommend staying here.

My son and I had a lovely, relaxing two-night stay while traveling in Peru. The indoor-outdoor layout and greenery added to the atmosphere, and the Miraflores district was great to explore, helped by La Casa del Viajero's location. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to help with all sorts of little things. They even arranged free parking for our rental car in a secure underground garage a block away. Only one staff member knew a little English, and the shower was only slightly warm both mornings, but neither issue was enough to take away from our five-star stay.

The terrace is a nice place to relax in this three-floor building. Sound carries too easily, though. You can hear people chatting and laughing out there, as well as loud music from a nearby pub, especially on weekends.

We arrived tired after booking through booking.com and expected to get our room. Instead, the person at reception said they had no room that matched our booking and tried to put us in a tiny room without a balcony. Double check by phone before you arrive, or you could be in for a surprise. Beware!
