Miraflores Colon Hotel

We had a lovely stay at Colón Hotel in Miraflores, with absolutely nothing to complain about. The neighborhood felt very nice and safe, and it’s close to the sea with plenty of good restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The rooms are spacious, the facilities are okay, and breakfast was fine. Thanks so much for your hospitality!

The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the rooms had slightly outdated furniture, though the value for the price was okay. Breakfast had a good variety, including fresh fruit, omelettes, cooked dishes like Teriyaki chicken and Chaufa rice, pancakes, ham, tomatoes, olives, cheese, butter, jam, and coffee. The hotel was clean, with friendly, nice staff. It’s also in an excellent location, about a four-minute walk from Larcomar and the Pacific Ocean.

The hotel service in general was good, but the airport shuttle was a serious disappointment. I paid 70 soles, more than the market and Uber prices, expecting a professional driver selected by the hotel. Instead, he drove dangerously and spent the whole hour looking at his phone, typing and talking with others on WhatsApp nonstop. We paid extra for safety and convenience, but got neither and spent the ride worrying. I’d suggest ordering an Uber or taxi yourself.

Breakfast was amazing and there was plenty of it. Our room was nice and spacious, with a great shower pressure, and it was serviced daily. We had a great stay at Colon hotel. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful, and everyone did all they could to help. Overall, a great experience. I’d recommend it to anyone.
