Plaza del Bosque Hotel

The curtains were broken and covered in mold, and the shower curtain was dirty and moldy too. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned, so we had to ask them to do it. When we entered the room, there was a strong mold smell. The hotel felt outdated and wasn’t clean at all. I can’t understand the four-star rating. I’m pretty sure there are better one-star hotels than this. Avoid!!!

So gross. I’m not sure how Google lists this as a 5-star hotel. I question whether it even meets 2-star standards.

We meant to arrive on December 26th, but accidentally booked for December 27th at 3:00 AM. We contacted the hotel within two hours of making the reservation, explained the honest mistake, and asked to move it to the 26th. They refused and said we’d lose the entire payment. The manager was completely inflexible and unhelpful. We were travelling a long way, and some understanding or assistance would have made a big difference. It felt like keeping our money was their only concern. Managers should care about customer service and helping guests have a positive experience.

The hotel was under maintenance when we arrived. The doors were locked, the lights were off, and there was no sign or information. They sent us across the street to a Radisson, which we hadn’t booked. Nobody had the courtesy to tell us the hotel had been changed. If we’d known, we would have cancelled our Lima stay and flown to our next destination. This has been most unpleasant, and I’m not happy.
