Pucllana Bed & Breakfast Boutique

I had to find another place at 10 at night, which was really upsetting. I’d checked in and gone for a walk, but when I came back, I was locked out and nobody answered. I went away and returned three times. It was impossible to get in touch: no one picked up the phone, and my email bounced. My new place cost about the same and was much nicer.

The neighborhood was quiet and comfortable, and the staff were lovely. The cleaning was perfect, and the room had a spacious shower and a big, comfortable bed. Rooms vary in size but cost the same, so you could end up with a smaller one. Still, I had a nice stay and would consider coming back when I return to Lima. I’d recommend the hotel.

We were looking forward to staying here after seeing the photos, but this turned into a waste of time and money. We arrived early after a night bus, and although the room not being ready was understandable, they made us pay immediately and then wait until check-in. When we came back, someone took us to a different building and told us we’d be sharing an apartment with other people, not staying at the B and B. We asked to stay at the B and B, and after a long, patronizing explanation from the receptionist, we finally spoke with the manager. He was helpful and said the rooms with shared bathrooms weren’t actually on the site, something the website never mentioned. We were moved to another room, but had to pay extra because it was en suite, and then waited almost another hour for it to be cleaned. I wouldn’t choose this place for a relaxing stay in Lima.

The room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast and Wi-Fi made the stay even better. The staff were lovely and helped me find things around the city. I’d recommend staying here!
