Runcu Hotel

The front desk team were all willing to go out of their way to help me. I arrived without a reservation after being unhappy with accommodations elsewhere, and they warmly got me into a single room for two nights. It was spotlessly clean and quite comfortable, with the toiletries and linens I needed. The hotel is close to the coast and within walking distance of lots of restaurants. I’d definitely stay here again if I need to be in the area.

A very good hotel. The breakfast was excellent, and the room had a comfortable bed and pillows, a fridge, smart TV, tea kettle, and a nice bath. There’s an elevator too.

11-2022. The breakfast room is up on the top floor, and the staff were very helpful. We stayed in Miraflores, a very nice suburb. Some rooms, like 704, have a small balcony, handy for smokers. The rooms are nice, with a big TV, minibar, heating, and air-conditioning. It’s about two minutes from the wonderful walkway along the cliffs, and Calle Berlin, with its bars, restaurants, and nightlife, is a 10-minute walk away. We walked home at night without any problems. Lima city center is about 5 km away, a taxi costs 30 sol.

The location is good and the price is unmatched, but I’d still avoid this place. The air cooler needed constant ice refills, and the room stayed unbearably hot and smelled really, really bad. We complained, but the heat and stink didn’t go away. At night I got so hot I wished I were dead. No holiday should be like that. I’ve never been to prison, but getting out of this place felt like what I imagine leaving jail would feel like. The staff were very nice. The free breakfast they provide was worth every penny.
