Hotel Señorial

Set in a beautiful old Hacienda Hotel in the heart of Lima’s principal area, it gave me a great experience. I’d call this three-star hotel “The house of Chabuca Granda.” It’s a great pick for foreign tourists who want to immerse themselves in authentic Lima Señorial.

The first night was nice. I enjoyed the courtyard, the helpful service, and the convenient location. We stayed here twice, at the start and end of our Peru trip. On the second night, we were put in a different building, where black mould covered most of the walls and the room and bathroom both felt damp. We should have complained, but instead went to bed with the windows open for ventilation.

The outdoor spaces are beautiful, and the old fashioned building adds a lovely atmosphere to the stay.

Getting to the cliff on foot is easy, and the staff even helped carry our bags upstairs when we arrived. The service was okay. The room was okay too, though you could hear other guests walking on the wooden floor. The safe was tiny and didn't work, the sink was clogged, and parts of the bathroom looked dusty. The shower temperature was hard to manage. They didn't replace the towels each day, just folded the used ones again.
