The hotel isn't much to look at, and breakfast could use some work. Still, the important things were good: a comfortable bed, effective air conditioning, a quiet room, plenty of space, and a good location. There’s also a little pool with a small lounge area, and we had free parking for our car.

Our flight meant leaving at 4am, and the front desk made that easier. They arranged a taxi to the airport, gave us a wake-up call, and had breakfast and coffee packed for us to take on the long trip home.

The breakfast was underwhelming, and I had to point out some mouldy grapes at the fruit bar. I was there for two nights and would have rated it four stars, but there was a private event downstairs on Sunday night. I was on the seventh floor and the music was so loud I couldn’t sleep until it stopped at 2am. I had a morning flight the next day, too bad. I stayed a couple of weeks ago, and it didn’t feel like a five-star hotel to me.

We spent 10 nights in a fabulous suite and had no complaints. The staff were great, quick to handle anything we needed, and treated us like family. Breakfast was included and did not disappoint. The hotel is on a very quiet street, just a block or two from everything happening in Miraflores. It worked well as a starting point for tours, whether we went on foot, met friends, or took a tour bus or taxi. I have family in Lima, so I’ll be back often, and this will be my base each time.

The breakfast was so bad that I went to Starbucks on the following days. The eggs were watery, coffee weak, fruit not fresh, and vegetables had no taste.
