I’ve been coming for years, but with the new owner, this place isn’t worth it anymore. My family and I are finding another hotel. My parents also said the breakfast food quality had gone down on this trip. The first room we were assigned had tools, piping, wet rags, and toilet pipe gunk on the floor, and the bathroom was under maintenance. The second had the wrong size beds for us, not what we ordered. The third seemed okay until we tried the bathroom and found it wouldn’t flush. The lobby has a small fridge that’s kept locked, so guests have to ring a bell to get someone to unlock it. We asked for bottled water, but the attendant said they were out and maybe there’d be some tomorrow. After the third room problem, I went downstairs to find the owner. The lobby attendant called him, but he insisted I explain the problem over the phone instead of coming to speak with me. I asked him to tell me yes or no if he talks to guests. He stayed silent, so I hung up and walked away. He chased me down in the hallway a little later. Update, 7:36 pm: They only provide two small towels per room, according to management policy. If you’re parents with kids, you’re out of luck. There’s no breakfast service on Sundays, just because, which is strange for a hotel. Update, 8:00 pm: The bathroom window won’t close tightly, so cold air gets in. It was cold in Lima that day, and the room was cold too.
