The beach location is lovely, right across from the Mancora Point surf break, and the sunsets are a treat. It’s a small hotel that should suit travelers on a mid-range budget. The changing surf conditions are worth watching, and there are plenty of places to rent boards along the beach. It’s far enough from town that disco noise isn’t a problem. The weather is almost always sunny.

The place itself is lovely and the friendly staff member keeps it in great shape. But we had a bad experience with the manager over payment. As Europeans, we expected to pay in soles, but she insisted on dollars and used an exchange rate she set herself, far above the actual rate at the time. We’ve never run into anything like that. It’s a real shame.

We had such a great time at La Casa De Pitty. The service manager was attentive and friendly from the minute we arrived, and the whole place had a welcoming feel. Our room was adorable and had a spectacular view. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and will definitely return.

The rooms are comfortable, and hot water is easy to get. The place is very well looked after and feels safe, with the beach and main street just a couple of steps away.
