My partner and I both became ill during our trip and ended up in the hospital. We contacted the hotel, but they replied only a few hours after our free cancellation period through booking.com had passed. They offered no solution, such as changing the dates or providing a voucher, and charged our card. That felt very strict and showed little compassion or professionalism. This was the only hotel on our Peru trip to handle things this way. Disappointing, I’d stay away.

The room was plain, and the place sits at the far edge of town with nothing nearby. What upset me most was the condition of the bedding: during my month in Peru, these were the dirtiest sheets and pillows I encountered. I had three beds and none was clean, with black stains on either the pillow or sheets. A friend staying in another room reported the same thing. Be careful booking services through them too. I clearly asked for a return bus ticket, but the worker booked only a one-way ticket for 60, even though other places in town charged 50 for a one-way fare. I had to pay another 40 to get back somewhere with no WiFi or signal. The woman also tried to charge me more than the booking price at check-in, which felt sneaky.

The atmosphere was lovely, with friendly people around. During breakfast, we could hear folks in the kitchen enjoying each other's company, which added to the pleasant feel.

We had a comfortable room with a homely feel, and there was secure parking for our motorcycle while we visited MP. The views were amazing, and the spot was quiet, away from the noise. Breakfast was great and the value was excellent. It's a pretty boutique hotel with lots of thoughtful details, and the hosts were very welcoming and friendly. A great place to stay while visiting Ollantaytambo and Machu Pichu. Highly recommended.
