Our room was clean, had a private bathroom, and the area was fairly quiet despite being beside a highway. The place is about a ten-minute walk from the center. Still, this wasn’t what we expected. It’s in an undeveloped part of town with no roads yet, which is awkward with trolleys, though backpacks are easier to manage. We booked late, and the owner was far away, so we waited an hour. For the first 30 minutes we were out in the scorching sun before other tenants let us in. The shared toilet was very dirty, and the first floor was still under construction.

I left after checking in. It’s a house with rooms, and you can’t walk into town from there. The road isn’t proper, there are lots of street dogs, and it’s beside the highway on the far side of Paracas, away from the tourist areas. This place isn’t for tourists.

The room was nice and clean, and the manager was absolutely charming and friendly. It takes a 15-minute walk to get near the center, so this place is surprisingly comfortable if you’re walking around Paracas. There’s internet and hot water. As everywhere in Perù, watch out that nobody speaks English. I’d totally recommend it!

It’s about a ten-minute walk to the shops and restaurants, and the host was super friendly. The place was very, VERY clean, especially for Peruvian standards. The best place to stay in Paracas.

The breakfast was extremely good, and it’s a perfect place to stay if you’re traveling with a bicycle. If you book, ask for the owner’s phone number so you can call when you arrive.
