Hotel Florencio Casa Hacienda

The family running the place were very hospitable. We stayed in an original room with a fireplace, at least 20 by 30 feet, and it was easy to picture the house in its heyday. It’s a beautiful colonial home with four courtyards. Across the street there’s a botanical garden and a collection of native corn and insects.

The patio is a lovely, quiet spot to have coffee. This family-owned hacienda is a real find, with roomy, well-appointed rooms. The brother and sister who own it are fabulous.

The owners’ warmth was the first thing that stood out. This older couple were happy to answer questions, offer suggestions, or chat about local culture and sights, and they clearly cared about making guests feel at home. The shared spaces were inviting and well kept, and the location made it easy to get to restaurants and shops. My room was clean and nicely decorated, with fresh linens and thoughtful amenities. It felt cozy after a day out, and the hotel had clearly put care into both comfort and details. From the welcome onward, staying at Hotel Florencio Casa Hacienda, Písac was a memorable, delightful experience. I’d happily return, and recommend it to anyone visiting Peru who wants a charming place with personal service.

The botanical garden next door, which belongs to the hotel, is jaw-dropping, and old plants, some said to be 100 years old, fill the corners of the hacienda. The house itself is charming, well cared for, and full of artifacts from its days as a working estate. Our room was clean, with a great bathroom, and the owners were helpful and charming. Pisac is wonderful too. I thought the ruins were as impressive as Machu Picchu, but without the crowds. I can’t wait to return.
