There’s a beautiful lake with lots of birds behind the property. We only stayed one night while waiting for our flight the next day, but the owners were kind and attentive, even though the rooms are a little basic. We didn’t speak much Spanish, and they went out of their way to communicate with us and show us around the surrounding area. Very good value for the price, and we enjoyed our stay.
The owner and family at Villa Hermosa were lovely, and even helped arrange a day excursion at the last minute. I’d arrived in Puerto Maldonado for an unplanned weekend and stumbled across the place by accident. It’s a short taxi ride from the city center, with a beautiful shady setting in the middle of the jungle. We had lunch there, and it was delicious and really fresh. The gorgeous pool was a real treat in the jungle heat, and it was extremely clean. The family graciously let us use their facilities even though we weren’t staying there. I’d highly recommend visiting. I hope to return and spend more time relaxing in this beautiful spot.
There’s incredible nature all around, and a massive swimming pool. The pet monkey is unbelievably cute. Breakfast is good and simple, and the rooms are nice with an open bathroom layout. The downsides are cold showers and a fan instead of air conditioning.
The owner and the whole family made us feel so welcome at Villa Hermosa. We had a really lovely stay, and I’ll definitely recommend it to all my friends who travel.
Sr Manuel and his lovely family make you feel at home in the jungle setting. Highly recommended.
