I paid $32.00 for the night. For the price, it was good: clean, with gas-heated hot water in both the shower and sink. The staff were very nice and helpful. It's near pubs and the boulevard.

The service was the worst.

My girlfriend and I stayed one night in a double room. The discounted price was the best part, and the gas shower gave us hot water, unlike the electric ones at other hostels in Peru. Our window faced a wall instead of the street, so the room wasn't very bright. At that price, we weren't complaining.

It took 20 minutes to get someone to let us out the next morning. We had a tour pickup, but couldn't wake the receptionist. The night before, I asked to change rooms after seeing a half-naked woman going in and out of the room next to mine. Reception was staffed by teenagers who didn't seem to understand good service. It was an uncomfortable place and a terrible experience. I don't recommend it.

The breakfasts were a favorite, and the service was genuinely friendly. Rooms were comfortable, too, and the prices are super affordable.
