The hotel was really comfortable, and breakfast was included. Gloria, one of the owners, was so kind and helped us with a lot. We got stuck on the way because of the blockades, and she came by taxi to get us and took care of everything we needed. She also booked us a taxi to Puno and answered all our questions. The best!!!!!

Back for a second stay after a year away, and the quality is still great. It’s in a quiet location, with bright, spacious rooms that are very clean and well furnished. The bed is comfortable, and breakfast is more like brunch, with lots of good food. Thanks again for the hospitality!

We found somewhere better for less money, with all the basics and more, and moved there after telling the staff what we were unhappy about. The two Venezuelan staff members who live on site were kind despite their circumstances, and they’re the reason for the one star. This building doesn’t feel like a finished hotel. It seems poorly designed, and gave me the impression that the owner, with this being her second hotel, cared more about making and saving money than satisfying travelers. There’s no working elevator, the rooms are freezing, and they wouldn’t provide space heaters. The bathrooms are awkward: nowhere for things by the sink, to hang clothes or store towels, and nowhere to put soap, shampoo, or washcloths in the shower. There’s no toilet paper dispenser, either. The sink has no hot water; the shower’s on-demand electric heater didn’t give the pressure I expect, and it was hard to keep the temperature comfortable. Only see-through curtains cover the big windows, so it won’t suit you if you need a dark room to sleep. There is a phone in the room, but it’s on the wall by the window, nowhere near the beds.

Good value hotel with very good service and breakfast. A single room is 110 soles, and secure parking is free. Reception was helpful.
