Hotel Plaza Sullana

The staff were friendly, and breakfast was served on time. But the reception area is cramped, the stairs are very steep, and there's no elevator. The rooms don't have proper ventilation, and their bathrooms have no ventilation window or lighting.

It's close to the main square and supposedly a 3-star hotel. The reception staff were excellent when I arrived, but the person handling luggage just stood there until I asked them to help. Although the bathroom was clean, it smelled strongly of mildew. I went downstairs to complain, and they came right away to disinfect it, which took care of the smell. The closet had lots of hanging bags of moths, so it seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The shower soap dish was broken, leaving nowhere to put the soap. There were a couple of towels folded into a swan shape on the bed, but they were badly wrinkled, and stayed that way throughout my visit. The internet barely reached my room and kept cutting out. I complained, and they said they'd talk to the manager. I spent all four days without working internet and with nobody helping. The air conditioner remote had no cover, leaving the batteries exposed. The mini-fridge was empty and unplugged. When I asked about it, they said they only use it when guests arrive with samples, though there wasn't an outlet nearby. That afternoon, I asked for water, soda, or anything, and was told they were out of everything, even though the hotel was almost empty. Breakfast was pretty basic. I know it's supposedly free and brought to the room, but it was only a small glass of juice, coffee, and two rolls with cheese. On the last day, I got just two rolls and a fried egg. I hope they improve and provide what they advertise. Best of luck.

The rooms were super clean and spacious, and the Wi-Fi signal was excellent. It's close to everything, the service is good, and the place is super nice. I loved it and will definitely come back. I highly recommend it.
