Hostal Encantos

The concierges are very pleasant, and breakfast is delicious. The one nuisance is that guests don't seem to notice the instruction to close the door carefully, so the slam carries across the whole floor.

Now that I see your reply, could you post the full chat so people can see how curt your response was, three times, before I'd even finished asking my questions? You just didn't like my suggestion that you clarify the breakfast issue with the Despegar website. They listed breakfast as included at your property, but you said otherwise outside Despegar.

The rooms are cozy, attractive, and well designed, and the breakfast woman is especially kind and friendly. The breakfast area is too small and could be expanded, though it was still okay. What really needs attention is reception and the cleaning routine. The two young men working day and night seemed unpaid to me, since whenever I went to the desk, they were asleep in a room. Paying guests should get decent treatment. Rooms also ought to be cleaned daily, with towels changed even when checkout is at 3:00 PM. This is a hotel, so cleanliness and hygiene matter. Soap and shampoo are initially supplied for one person, though they'll bring more if asked. If they fixed the reception and daily cleaning, the 30,000 pesos per day would feel worthwhile.

What a terrible way to start the year. I couldn't sleep with my son or my parents because other guests were making a racket, playing music, and having drunken fights. The place didn't seem to screen them at all. We paid for a room with a jacuzzi and minibar, but nobody told us we'd be charged extra for anything we consumed from them. Such a disappointment. Never again! 🤬😡😠
