Luis is very friendly and can tell you all about the area. Breakfast was great, and the place is close to tarapoto centre while giving you a break from the madness of the city centre. Would recommend!

There’s a great restaurant opposite, and calle de las piedras and the main plaza are an easy walk away. Good accommodation and great staff. Recommended.
