The location has some real conveniences. Since the hotel is in an alley, it’s quiet at night, and there are shops along it for snacks, drinks, and other food. There’s a bakery two blocks away and a shopping center around the corner. The reception staff treated us well, especially Kevin, a very attentive young man who brought us hot water and some utensils we asked for. The hotel itself is pleasant. Please read the rest before deciding, though. After 6:30 a.m., resting was impossible. The main problem was the dining room TV, which they turned up very loud every morning. Staff didn’t seem to care, and this issue appears in other comments too. They said the remote was lost and the volume couldn’t be lowered, but they wouldn’t turn the TV off either. If we kept complaining, the remote would suddenly turn up, but with no batteries. More complaints got batteries put in. By the time they lowered the volume or switched the TV off, it was around 9 a.m., just when breakfast ended, so we no longer felt like resting. The noise wasn’t limited to rooms near the dining room. Vents running from floor to ceiling in the hallways carried sound between floors and spread noise from the dining room throughout the hotel. There are two big issues here: the morning noise and the building itself. We paid S/. 130.00 (approximately US$ 37.00) per night for a double room with two breakfasts. After we complained that morning, we got 50% of the price back following a heated, mocking phone conversation, not mocking on our part, with the supposed manager or owner, Cesar. He kept denying there was a problem and saying he didn’t owe us a cent. Thankfully, after almost half an hour, he finally came to his senses. The price isn’t bad, but keep these details in mind and take precautions if you stay.

I found spiders in a filthy room, and the bathroom had quite a bit of hair and paper in it. I would never go back.

The room we got wasn’t what we’d asked for when we requested a double. At 7:00 am they blasted the news on the dining room TV, waking everyone. There was a cockroach on the floor, and the shower had no curtain. Water got all over the bathroom when we used it, and even leaked into the bedroom. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.
