We left the same night because we didn't feel safe sleeping beside so much mold. The receptionist was helpful when we asked about Yurimaguas, but that didn't make the room feel safe. I'd definitely advise against booking here. We'd booked on fairly short notice and were told only one room with air conditioning remained. It was their most expensive, the “matrimonial” room, and we were happy to pay for a comfortable, cool room. Instead, opening the door brought a strong mold smell, and we saw a whole mold-covered wall across from the bed and in the bathroom. The smell was everywhere. We left the window open for a few hours, but it didn't help. The odor still clung to the sheets and towels. That much mold can be very dangerous and make you sick easily.

For 50 soles, this is a very good hostel. The place was spotless, and the people were warm and welcoming. It's basic, but has what you need for a comfortable stay. They also have a parking space, which came in handy. Great value.

Señora Flor and her husband were so welcoming, and even helped us sort out a problem with the slow boat to Iquitos. The Wi-Fi worked really well, and the shower was superb. It's great value for money. The only drawback is there's no AC, just a fan, and it gets pretty hot.

The room was quite clean and the bathroom worked fine. They lock the building's main entrance at night, though. When I got back late in the evening, I was stuck outside for a while, with no answer to the phone or doorbell.

I was impressed by how helpful the staff were. They welcomed me warmly and gave me useful tips for seeing the city, even though I'm a foreigner. They also helped me get ready to take the Eduardo slow boat to Iquitos. The hotel is clean and in a good location. Thanks so much, I highly recommend it.
