Pension Raita

Beautiful place, really good people.

I’m grateful to Raita and Eric for their generous hospitality. The guesthouse was clean, comfortable, and very pleasant, with kayaks available and excursions arranged around what you ask for. There are lovely snorkeling spots, and Eric is happy to show you his fishing techniques, with the catch to enjoy at the BBQ. Raita is a warm, attentive host who helps make the stay a success. It’s an ideal spot on a paradise atoll if you’re after peace and quiet.

The generous meals, with plenty of locally caught fish, were a real highlight, and the staff welcomed me warmly. Many thanks to Gisèle and Raita for greeting guests with such warmth and a smile. The guesthouse is clean, with spacious grounds and an idyllic setting. I had a wonderfully relaxing stay, whether in the water, in the sun, or beneath the thatched roofs. A peaceful place on a simple little island in the Tuamotu archipelago, highly recommended.

The location is magnificent, but the final bill left us very disappointed. There wasn't enough clear signage or transparency, and we felt customers weren't treated honestly. The extra charges for drinks and excursions seemed exorbitant and left a bitter taste. Many of the services promised on paper weren't delivered. For value for money, we've definitely seen better in Polynesia.
