For a quick overnight in Papeete before my flight to Fakarava, this turned out to be a fantastic value. The owner picked me up at the airport, about five minutes away, and drove me back for free. The owners were charming and kind. My room was simple but pleasant and clean, with a very comfortable bed, excellent water pressure, and AC that worked perfectly. I also paid extra for breakfast the next morning: a homemade smoothie, fresh fruit, a small plate of cheese and charcuterie, and pain au chocolat. Before my flight, I got to enjoy the cool jacuzzi too. The guest dining room and kitchen outside even have a washing machine, which is handy after a long trip. For the way I travel, this place beats the fancy, expensive hotels around here. Mauruuru!

The service was excellent, but we missed the airport pickup because the woman waiting there didn’t identify herself. The hotel is close to the airport, though you can’t walk there, and a taxi costs 1500 SPF (15 usd). The rooms feel a bit worn and could use freshening up.

Everything was immaculately clean, and the owners can pick you up at the airport. They live upstairs, while guests have a separate room and bathroom with their own outside entrance. The outdoor kitchen is shared with about four other rooms. Nice lodge.

Reva waited patiently while we collected our bags and got local cash from the ATM. She greeted us with fresh leis and took us to her adorable lodge. Our bungalow was comfortable, the AC was already running, and the roomy shower warmed up quickly. The bed was comfortable, and the towels and linens were soft. I got up early and walked the 20 paces to the outdoor kitchen to make fresh coffee. We’re only here for one night before heading to other islands, but if we stayed longer in Tahiti, we’d stay here again. While I was writing this, a surprise tray of fresh fruit and juice arrived at our bungalow. Wow!

A quiet residential neighborhood with no restaurants or activities nearby, but if that’s what you want, it feels safe and works well. We stayed overnight in Tahiti before moving on to another island, and the location was excellent for us. The room was large and clean, with comfortable beds and good linens. There’s a pleasant shared area with a mini kitchen, hot water, tea, and coffee. It’s close to the airport, and the shuttle was free and friendly. The staff were friendly too.
