Cook's Bay Hotel and Suites

The views across the bay and mountains are stunning, and the restaurant serves wonderful meals with an unbeatable view. We had one of the most breathtaking hotel stays we've ever experienced at Cook's Bay on Moorea in French Polynesia. Breakfast was a highlight. You can order à la carte for something lighter, like a freshly made omelet, or go for the full buffet. The rooms were fantastic, with separate living and sleeping areas. We strongly recommend booking a room with a view. Waking up to the bay and mountains each morning felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. There is a beach on the grounds for swimming and kayaking, and snorkeling gear is provided at no extra cost. Seeing manta rays just off the shore made an already amazing stay even better. We haven't experienced anything quite like it, and can't recommend Cook's Bay enough.

Everything else was sold out when we made a last-minute decision to stay on Moorea, but Cooks Bay Hotel had one room left, a top-floor suite looking over the reef toward the ocean. The pool and lounge areas were off to our right, and across the bridge on our left were the restaurant and bar over the bay. The water and mountains all around made for magical, stunning views. We liked this far more than the overrated, expensive hotels. The water is crystal clear, with lots of kinds of fish, many turtles, and a few sharks that weren't scary. The drinks were very good, and the food was even better and so fresh. The front desk helped arrange all our tours, find a restaurant, and sort transportation to and from. They also helped us rent a car for a day. This feels like the best spot on the island, and we'll definitely return. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so memorable. La Orana Ora

Don't miss the restaurant, which was by far the best one on the island. The hotel's location is perfect for a stay in Moorea, and the facilities and rooms went beyond our already high expectations. We loved the beautiful pool and didn't want to leave it. Our room was spacious, comfortable, modern, and had a very convenient kitchen. The large outdoor area was another big plus. Highly recommend Cook’s Bay hotel.

The sunset over the bay was fantastic, and we loved the comfortable rooms and the wonderful beach and pool area. It's a lovely boutique hotel in beautiful surroundings. The staff could be better, though. They seemed annoyed to be there instead of happy or excited.
