The view outside the restaurant is unreal, clear Tiffany-blue water full of fish. We had dinner there and it felt like a dream. The chef, who’s from Marseille, was lovely to chat with and gave us 20% off. The food was the best I had during my six days in Tahiti. The chicken taco and fish of the day were both incredible. Most places I tried were just okay, around 3 out of 5, but this one was a clear 5. I’ve eaten in more than 20 countries, and this is among the best meals I’ve had. I’d give it more than five stars if I could, and I’ll definitely come back next time I’m here.

Our table was right in the water, with fish swimming around our feet as we ate. You can choose a regular table instead, but we loved the experience. My wife ordered the grilled mackerel and I had the poke. The restaurant is a five-minute walk from the Hilton, and every step was worth it. The Hilton’s food lacked flavor, while this place served plenty of it. The owner, who lives on site, was a delight.

The setting is great, but that’s the only good part for me. We ordered lunch at the counter and waited more than 60 minutes for fish tacos and a chicken sandwich. The food was edible, but at $70 I expected much better. Even if it had arrived in ten minutes, I wouldn’t come back. The staff seemed completely uninterested and were almost rude. McDonald’s would be faster, hotter, and better. Avoid this place.

We felt at home right away, thanks to the staff, who were warm and welcoming and treated us like family. The food was delicious and clearly made with care, with every dish looking like a little work of art. Sitting by the sea with our feet in the water and watching the sunset was breathtaking. Everything was clean and well kept too. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy, and one I’d happily return to.
