The dinners the owners cooked and served were the highlight for us, amazing three-course meals in the quiet twilight after busy days at the beach and in the sun. We also loved coming back to this peaceful little oasis after noisy outings around Tahiti. The family who run Relais Fenua, from France, were so warm and kind. Our five nights there were great. It’s a small pension, a bit like a B&B, but has a lot going for it. The room had a king-size bed, air conditioning, and a good shower. The pool was spotless and just right for a swim in the morning or evening, and their signature cocktails were fantastic. Breakfast was plenty for us, with fresh fruit, pain, homemade yogurts, and lots of good coffee. We rented a car from them too, for a very reasonable price, and it was so easy, much easier than at the airport. Even with the $35 taxi after our red-eye flight, it was a bargain. We can’t recommend Relais Fenua enough. It felt like paradise.

Cyril and Martine were wonderful hosts at Le Relais Fenua, a great guesthouse for a Tahiti vacation. Everything was very clean and had what we needed. Breakfast was great, the pool was nice, and there’s a restaurant nearby. The island’s only white-sand beach is about a five-minute walk away. The Wi-Fi was good too. We’d happily return anytime.

The owners were so welcoming, even meeting us at the airport with traditional flower necklaces. This is a lovely, simple room in a very quiet spot close to the beach. The pool was nice and breakfast was awesome. I think this is the best pension in this part of the island. I’m planning another trip to French Polynesia soon and will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for one night near the end of October 2019 before going island-hopping around French Polynesia. The owners were lovely and helpful, and I really liked the Polynesian way of life. Tahiti and the other islands are incredible. I couldn’t find much to fault and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tahiti.
