Le Coconut Lodge

The highlight was Sophie, the manager on duty during our visit. She booked our excursions and went out of her way to make sure our picky eater had something at every meal. She bought special meat for our child and asked the chef to adapt adult dishes, doing whatever she could. When our flight changed at the last minute, she helped us keep up with the airline's messages. Earlier, with an airline pilot strike looming on our last day, she'd even offered to do our laundry in case we got stuck in Rangiroa. She's a pearl! The lodge itself is in a beautiful spot with a private beach. Breakfast is included, and you can choose to have dinner there too. We loved our time at the Coconut Lodge, and I highly recommend a trip to Rangiroa.

We left feeling refreshed and so happy. Our room was spacious, the service was amazing, and Audrey gave us a warm welcome and great local tips. Bikes were available to help us get around, though it had been a while since I rode one, haha. The private beach was a highlight, with snorkeling gear, paddle boards, and canoes provided. The location was perfect, especially with a diving center nearby.

The only drawback was having to leave so soon. The room was spacious and clean, the staff welcoming and helpful, and there were nice bikes to use. We loved the little private beach, with kayaks and SUPs, and dinner was very good. Highly recommend staying here.

Audrey, are you sure we stayed at the same place? Your review really doesn't sound like the one we experienced. Alice and Nicholas are thoughtful, kind owners of this little pension. The comfort, food, and taste were impeccable, and it's an exclusive, unhurried micro-resort that beats them all. I recommend it without reservation. Audrey, next time perhaps you'd prefer a flashy five-star palace with the size and bustle of Grand Central Station, or maybe just stay home? Bob & Susie
