The area is convenient, with SM Clark about a five-minute walk away, restaurants and bars nearby, and a 24/7 grocery store downstairs for snacks or water anytime. There’s a market across the street where we bought fresh fruit. It gets busy and chaotic outside in the morning and late afternoon, though, and parking is limited. Seeing children and adults begging in the streets all day was sad. Our room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and it had a safe in the closet, a fridge, hot water, and quiet ACU. The front desk, hotel, and security staff were nice. Breakfast came with our stay and was served on the top floor, which used to be a bar. We had a filling silog breakfast, and the garlic rice was really good.

The rooms are a good size, and the location above a 24-hour supermarket is handy. Staff are pleasant and make an effort to help, but seem to lack training, supervision, or both. Breakfast is the only meal served. Someone with solid hotel experience could give it a full overhaul, then train the staff to deliver the new breakfast properly.

Breakfast was decent, with a couple of choices. The room was spacious enough for the price, and the queen bed was comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. We checked in just to rest after a late flight, but morning noise outside woke us up. Getting to the hotel meant walking through a 24-hour grocery store from the parking area, since it's on the building's third floor. Check-in was quick. The bathroom was roomy, though basic: fixed soap and shampoo dispensers by the shower, no soap by the sink, one toothbrush and toothpaste, and a roll of tissue. The heater didn't work, and the soap dispenser hadn't been refilled, so we ran out while bathing. I'd recommend it for a very short stay, but the service could improve. They knew we'd arrive late and need rest, so they could have put us in a quieter room if one was available, and refilled the soap before we got there.

The room had a broken safe, stained sheets, and mold on the shower head and around the sink, so I asked to check out after half a day of my three-night stay. The front desk said a partial refund was up to the booking service, while the booking service said it was up to the hotel. I returned to the desk with the service on speakerphone, and then they gave other reasons they couldn't refund me. They said the manager was away and had no business phone number, even though she was on the phone with the manager, and she stopped speaking English. This place is a sham, and it wasn't as nice as the internet listings.
