Angeles Palace Hotel

It was a pleasant enough stay, but we wouldn't come back because the price felt too high. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast is only worth paying for if you like spicy Korean food, and the restaurant also serves only Korean dishes. Internet came and went, and disappeared completely during heavy rain. The listing says free cable, but don't count on it.

Service was very good, but the place felt empty, with no guests around, just staff, and it was under construction. There was no restaurant or coffee. The rooms were old and smelled. Unless you have the Villa Room, you have to cross the street to reach the nice pool shown in the pictures.

The staff tried their best, but the Korean manager was no help, and I left very disappointed. The hotel didn't look as good as the photos, and I'd never stay again. It's clearly geared toward Korean guests. I'm not Korean, and my bed was old, the TV only had Korean channels, and breakfast was Korean, with the staff reluctantly making eggs for me as the only alternative. The pool was dirty every day, and I had to get in and clear leaves myself. WiFi was slow and intermittent. I wouldn't recommend it to Americans, Brits, or other Westerners. Two out of ten.

We stayed in a deluxe room for Aurora Music Festival 2023. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, from the guard to the front desk. There's lots of parking, and a free shuttle that goes around Clark. Korean Town is very close. There are two pools, the second in another building on the property, and staff said swimming was allowed until midnight. There's also a mini restaurant, though we didn't try the food. The rooms and facilities felt a bit old, which is understandable for the price. Phone signal was weak, there's no elevator so it's not PWD friendly, and the rooms aren't very soundproof. The TV worked, but the Korean channels were static, and the pool looked like it needed cleaning to me. We didn't use the TV anyway. The hallway lights could be brighter. The floors felt dark and a little lonely. If you're on the go like we were, this place is a decent choice. Value for money 4/5, facilities and room 3/5, staff 5/5, location 3.5/5.
