Clark Imperial Hotel Angeles City

The room was clean and the AC worked well, even though the hotel feels a little dated. I had a pleasant stay thanks to the convenient location and friendly staff. Airport transfers were offered for a fee. It was easy to reach the hotel by email using the address on their Facebook page, and they replied quickly.

There are plenty of shops and activity nearby, but the hotel itself sits in a very quiet spot. Staff were helpful and friendly, and their English was good. My room was on the small, older side, with a hard bed and a tiny wardrobe that had just two coat hangers. Still, it was a comfortable place to come back to. It had split-system AC, a bar fridge, good WiFi and hot shower water, plus daily housekeeping, a safe, free bottled water each day and elevator access. I'd stay again if the price was right.

What stood out was how the staff handled a bad start. After nearly two days of travel, I arrived to find that a communication mix-up meant I couldn't get into my room. Once things settled, the staff response was excellent. Thanks to Ms Lanie, Ms Laine and especially Madam Mhia. The rooms are older but clean, and the location is handy for shops and nightlife. For the price, it's hard to beat. I had a great stay and a fun time, and I'd definitely come back.

We could hear outside noise in the room, and cigarette smoke got in even though it was meant to be non-smoking. Parking was very tight too.
