SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western AC LUXE Angeles City

This SureStay is definitely better than the other one in Angeles. The building ventilation is the biggest improvement: air circulates throughout, and the rooms don’t smell of sewage like the other branch. Rooms were clean, service was good, the pool was okay and breakfast basic. Parking is limited here too. A few things could improve. The shower nozzles have limited output, and some don’t work even though the water pressure is good. They could add a valet service or another lot to help with parking, and the internet could be faster and more stable.

We arrived at a hotel on New Year’s Eve just five minutes before the fireworks, without a reservation, and paid 3,000 pesos for the night. I wasn’t happy with that, though I know that’s what can happen when you walk in. I checked online afterward and saw rates as low as 2600 pesos on places like Agoda. Not a huge difference, but still. The room was spacious and had newer-style outlets and touch light switches. The bathroom light used a motion sensor, so if you left the door open it could switch on in the middle of the night. Not a deal breaker, just something to know. The shower was nice and hot, and roomy enough for more than two people. They should pay more attention to the grout lines in there. The front desk girls were interesting. I can read people’s eyes, and they seem to love looking at non-Filipino facial features.

A great value for a staycation in Angeles city. The room was bright and very clean, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was superb, especially the tapsilog. Highly recommended.

The room itself was modern and the bed was comfortable, much like on my two earlier stays. Breakfast came plated rather than as a buffet and was okay, though nothing special. The pool is a decent size, but it sits in the center of the property, where people walking through or eating at the neighboring restaurant can see swimmers. That takes away some privacy. Parking is another drawback, with fewer than 10 spaces on site for a hotel this size. On my latest booking, I asked for a refund and couldn't get one; the reservation was then recorded as a no-show. That left a sour taste after otherwise straightforward visits. I'd consider returning if I couldn't find a better nearby option, but there are clear limits around parking, pool privacy, and booking flexibility.
