For under ₱900 overnight, this was a great budget option near Clark Airport. It’s handy for food and getting around: Koreatown and the 24/7 NICE Korean Mart are within walking distance, there’s a karinderya across the way and a sari-sari store next door, and Dali is opening soon across the street. Club Pentagon is nearby for nightlife. There’s even a pool, which is nice if you have kids. The room had a modern look, good Wi-Fi, a built-in hair dryer, and a useful vanity mirror and table. The bathroom has a bidet and hot shower. The TV and kettle didn’t work, though. A good pick if you’re watching your spending and want a convenient location. - KLOOK HOTEL DISCOUNT: REEKLOOK

The room was large, which was the main plus, but 1000 pesos a day didn’t feel worth it. There’s no elevator, so expect to climb three floors, and the place is not near Walking Street. Wi-Fi only worked in the lobby. I found three flies in the room, the cups weren’t properly washed, and the bathroom towels still had things left by the previous guest. Only one towel was supplied, though you can request more free of charge. They also charge a 70 pesos cleaning fee per night. There are no plates or cutlery, so you have to buy your own.

I was happy to watch planes taking off and landing from here. I saw an Emirates 777 and my favorite, a Cessna 152. The hotel itself was comfortable and good, but the bathroom smelled, and the mirror looked like it had come off the wall.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. They ask you for a cleaning fee after your stay, when fees like that should be included upfront. The service was disappointing too. The staff didn’t seem happy to be there, and weren’t very helpful when I asked about the area.

They charged me 75 for cleaning, but it wasn’t done until I asked four times. The pool was dirty as well. Checking out late, at around 1:30 pm, adds another 270 peso.
