Wild Orchid Resort

I spent two weeks here and had a really enjoyable break. The resort was kept to an amazing standard, and the location was brilliant. Every staff member I met was friendly and so helpful, no complaints about anyone. I'd definitely recommend it.

The room was surprisingly spacious for the price, and the bathroom had plenty of room and hot water. The pool area is amazing, and the restaurant serves good food with good service. It's also ideally located near everything on Walking Street, or Red Street. Great value, and I'd stay again.

The pool is one of the best maintained in the City, and it's a big reason we've kept coming back to Wild Orchid Resprt. The place has an old-school feel, from the push-button door locks and one key fob per room to the key-operated power. The food is good, and the staff, from housekeeping and bell staff to security, food service, and the front desk, have always been friendly and helpful. Some have remembered my name for years. On our latest visit, though, we noticed a rule in red print saying only registered guests can use the pool. Before, we could invite a friend or sister to have drinks on the veranda and spend the afternoon by our poolside room. That's no longer allowed. I don't know why it changed, since I never saw the rule abused or more than one guest at a time. I'm not sure we'll come back next time.

I've stayed at the Wild Orchid many times since 2009. Staff are professional and quick to respond to questions or concerns. I like that it has two well-maintained pools and a spread-out resort feel, unlike other hotels with one small pool in a high-rise. The rooms are clean, and mine in the Lagoon building at the back had a small safe for valuables. The TV offers YouTube, Amazon Prime+, and cable. There's a restaurant on the property. The bathrooms could use remodeling. For Angeles City tap water, I suggest sticking with bottled water and avoiding drinking it. I'd recommend this hotel for a weeklong stay.
