Villa Jhoana Resort

We booked two nights as a couple, but they gave us a room for six people after selling it to us based on there being two adults. In my opinion, that’s a total scam. They offered no refund or any other remedy, so now we’re stuck spending two nights at this ridiculous place and paying for six breakfasts. I can’t recommend a business I consider deceptive. I think it’s best to avoid it and book somewhere else.

For a quick trip near Metro Manila, Villa Jhoana Resort in Angono, Rizal gives you a fun, comfortable stay for the price. It’s not a luxury destination, but I’d consider it a good nearby option. The location was fairly easy to find with GPS, parking was adequate, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The resort was well maintained, with clean pools and spacious rooms. The main pool works for kids and adults, and there are several spots to lounge or do group activities. Staff were polite, accommodating, and ready to help. It seems suited to family outings, team buildings, or small celebrations. I had a pleasant, relaxing experience.

We did enjoy ourselves in the end, though some family members and I slipped into the pool and landed on the floor 😂. We hadn’t realized it was only 3-4 ft deep, so our bottoms took the hit. One family member was also hurt by a small suction in the pool and was in pain. They should put a note above it. Weekends get crowded, so I’d suggest coming on a weekday. They told us before we booked that they only allow daytour visits. There’s a corkage fee for drinks of all kinds. Buying them there seems easier, since bringing your own and paying corkage would only save 5 pesos. The restrooms have two rooms for each gender, but only one toilet in each.

I had to ask three times for the Wi-Fi password. There were two queen beds in the room, but no phone, cups, glasses, chairs, or tissue paper. To eat breakfast, I carried a monoblock chair in from the balcony outside the hallway myself. The attendant gave me four amenity kits, each with a toothbrush, toothpaste, a shampoo sachet, and a tiny bar of soap that smelled nice. I used my own shampoo. The shower in the bathroom/CR didn’t work, which explained the big cream bucket and dipper inside. The bidet did work, and the water was pleasantly lukewarm. The mirror doubling as a digital clock was probably the only great thing about the room!😁 The lavatory sink didn’t drain, so water sat in the basin overnight. There were no slippers either, and I had to walk between the bathroom, room, and hallways in my thick cotton socks!🤧
