Baluarte de Argao Beach Resort

We had breakfast there every day and were always satisfied. The food was delicious, and the staff, especially Anna, Emma and the rest of the team, were so attentive that they made us feel like family. The resort is beautifully maintained, with plenty of picturesque places to sit with a cold drink and watch the waves. My wife, my mother and I stayed six days in January. The rooms were affordable, very clean, and had air conditioning and hot showers. It’s also a short walk to Argao town proper. I really enjoyed our time at Baluarte de Argao and highly recommend it whenever you’re in Argao.

This place has been part of my life since childhood. So many family events happened here, from weddings and birthdays to reunions. It’s spacious, and the old, slightly creepy feeling is part of the charm of this baluarte. There’s even a morgue right beside the stone gate at the entrance. My dad saw it when he was little. Definitely gives you chills, but it’s still worth it! I’m glad the inn is still open and taking guests at a humble price.

The rooms are roomy, with heated showers, and the place itself is clean and peaceful. Everyone on staff was friendly, and I really liked staying here. One issue: Google Maps sent us down a dead-end road because it assumed we could continue straight through. I’d still recommend the place to everyone.

The terrace has fresh air and a lovely view over the sea, and the place isn’t far from the highway. I loved it there. For a private occasion, it’s a nice option: they let you use the kitchen and store food in the refrigerator, and there’s a BBQ pit for cooking. There’s also a terrace with a bar at the far right side of the hotel. I was there with baby adriel sleeping in a "duyan" while my beautiful mother relaxed in the cool breeze, away from the city buzz. I’d definitely recommend it.
